Abrasive toothpaste linked to increased

Sensitive
teeth may have deeper cause
A tooth that is sensitive to sweets usually means there is a cavity that
needs to be restored. The cause of sensitivity to cold is often difficult
to determine, and frequently difficult to eliminate. A new study in the
November/December 2002 issue of General Dentistry has found a relationship
between people with sensitive teeth and hypersensitive other senses such
as sight, hearing, taste, smell, and touch( termed organ of special
sense). The nerve intervention to the teeth comes from the same
histological tissue as the nerve tissue that carries sensory information
from the special senses.
Therefore if you are one of these people that have sensitive teeth,
consider if you also are more sensitive to light, noise, smell, and pain.
If so your problem may not be tooth related but a result of how you are
wired.
